About this role

BigStep Technologies is a global B2B IT services and product engineering company helping clients build software, mobile apps, AI/ML solutions, and digital platforms. We're seeking an experienced Fractional CMO to own and execute marketing strategy on a part-time, ongoing basis. This hands-on role involves working directly with founders and sales team to drive measurable pipeline growth.

You will build and execute a B2B demand generation engine using inbound, outbound, and ABM tactics targeting ICPs in North America, the UK, and Middle East. Sharpen brand positioning by refining narrative, value proposition, and messaging across services, industries, and buyer personas. Lead content and SEO efforts with a roadmap for blogs, case studies, and thought-leadership to boost organic traffic.

Run performance marketing on LinkedIn, Google Ads, and other channels while owning CPL, CAC, and ROAS targets. Set up marketing tech stack including HubSpot hygiene, attribution, and dashboards for leadership reporting. Mentor in-house marketing executives, designers, and writers, bringing in freelancers as needed.

Partner closely with sales and BD on enablement tools like collateral, decks, and outbound sequences. Thrive in a collaborative environment with global teams. Drive real pipeline impact in IT services and product engineering marketing.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in B2B marketing, with at least 3+ years in a CMO, VP Marketing, or Head of Marketing role
  • Proven track record in marketing IT services, SaaS, or product engineering to mid-market and enterprise buyers
  • Demand-gen expertise across LinkedIn, Google, SEO, content, and ABM with case studies showing pipeline and revenue impact
  • Strong brand and positioning chops; can write/edit messaging that converts
  • Comfortable with HubSpot (or similar), GA4, Search Console, SEMrush/Ahrefs, and reporting tools
  • A doer, not just an advisor — run the engine, not hand off slides
  • Excellent written and spoken English; experience working with global teams

Responsibilities

  • Build and execute a B2B demand generation engine (inbound + outbound + ABM) that delivers a predictable pipeline of qualified leads from target ICPs
  • Sharpen brand and positioning by refining the BigStep narrative, value proposition, and messaging across services, industries, and buyer personas
  • Lead content and SEO by defining a content roadmap (blogs, case studies, whitepapers, thought-leadership) to drive organic traffic and improve rankings
  • Run performance marketing by planning, launching, and optimizing LinkedIn, Google Ads, and other paid channels; own CPL, CAC, and ROAS targets
  • Set up the marketing tech and analytics stack including HubSpot/CRM hygiene, attribution, dashboards, and reporting cadence with leadership
  • Mentor and direct in-house marketing executives, designers, and content writers; bring in trusted freelancers as needed
  • Partner with sales/BD on enablement including collateral, decks, sequences, and outbound experiments
