About this role

The Business Development Director accelerates company growth by identifying new opportunities and expanding presence in the clinical research landscape. Focus areas include neurology, cardiometabolic, infectious diseases, and Real-World Evidence services. This role grows the new Functional Service Provider business unit for Biometrics services targeting the EU market.

Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, understand client needs, and translate insights into strategic business initiatives. Collaborate closely with internal teams to develop tailored solutions and support sales strategies. Contribute to the overall growth trajectory across the EU.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in CRO Business Development
  • Proven experience selling clinical services, with a strong focus on FSP services
  • Established network of key decision makers within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Proven track record in generating RFPs, converting prospects, closing deals, and achieving sales targets
  • Strong ability to understand client needs and deliver tailored solutions
  • Pragmatic, energetic, self-motivated, results-driven with strong business acumen

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, and growth opportunities with focus on FSP services for Biometrics
  • Generate new business leads and RFPs through targeted prospecting, networking, and outreach activities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals that showcase services
  • Oversee the sales pipeline, track leads and opportunities through CRM, and provide accurate sales forecasts
  • Represent the company at scientific conferences, seminars, and industry events to network
