About this role
Reporting to the VP, TE Sensors Global Sales & Marketing, the Director of Sales leads a team of Key Account Managers and Field Application Engineers across EMEA to grow strategic and key sensor customers. This sales execution led role focuses on regional revenue and profitability growth aligned to business objectives. Marketing responsibilities are limited to customer, channel, and product-related commercial activities.
The role builds and strengthens relationships at assigned and target accounts, serving as the primary liaison between customers and TE. It ensures customer requirements are translated into successful application and product solutions while managing pipeline and performance in Salesforce to achieve sales targets. The Director provides market and competitive insight on macro trends and emerging opportunities.
Leadership involves coaching and developing the regional team, recruiting high-performers, and setting clear expectations for execution. The position operates in a virtual, global environment, coordinating closely with cross-functional teams across regions. It leads through influence across internal and external stakeholders.
Commercially, the Director owns EMEA sensor transportation customers, defines regional growth strategy, and sets ambitious budgets. Contributions include global strategic planning and cross-functional execution of customer programs. Voice of the Customer input drives process improvements and product priorities.
Requirements
- Track record of identifying, negotiating, and closing complex deals with corporate customers
- Experience leading Key Account Managers and Field Application Engineers in EMEA
- Proficiency managing sales pipeline and performance in Salesforce
- Ability to build and maintain C-level relationships in sensors transportation sector
- Market and competitive insight on macro trends and emerging opportunities
- Global coordination with cross-functional teams for key accounts
- Skills in developing commercial strategies for revenue and profitability growth
Responsibilities
- Lead the team to identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities with assigned and target accounts
- Build and maintain senior-level customer relationships, including executive and C-level stakeholders
- Own and regularly refresh customer account plans and strategies
- Manage pipeline and performance in Salesforce to achieve sales targets
- Review sales performance with focus on revenue growth, NQBO, and Design Wins
- Coach Sales and Field Application Engineers to develop and convert growth pipeline
- Define and drive the regional growth strategy ensuring alignment and execution
- Lead cross-functional execution of customer programs and provide Voice of the Customer input
