Pearson India seeks a collaborative sales representative as Specialist, Sales (Territory Manager) for Higher Education. You will grow sales of courseware, digital, and service solutions while driving teaching and learning innovation. Help institutions achieve access, achievement, and affordability for student success.

Demonstrate positive energy, initiative, and a need for achievement to meet or exceed goals. Comfort with digital media and passion for education are essential. This remote role involves approximately 80% travel to campuses, institutes, partners, and offices.

Build strong relationships with faculty, department heads, board members, librarians, and placement officers. Conduct product demos, manage channels, collect payments, and track in OneCRM. Plan campus visits, maintain call ratios, and employ consultative sales techniques.

Collaborate with cross-functions like customer success, experts, and operations for faculty satisfaction. Stay updated on Pearson products, industry issues, and market trends. Share successful tactics nationally and prepare reports for sales reviews.

Responsibilities

  • Generate revenue through acquiring new business accounts via prospecting, qualifying, negotiating, selling and closing sales of Courseware and Digital products
  • Protect revenue and deliver up-sale targets with existing customers by developing strong account relationships
  • Build strong customer relationships with faculty members, Heads of Department, Board of Studies, librarians and placement officers
  • Conduct digital product demos and efficient sampling of courseware portfolio
  • Develop and manage efficient distribution channels to improve sales performance
  • Conduct market research to understand competitors and position Pearson products competitively
  • Maintain accurate and timely tracking and forecasting in OneCRM
  • Plan and conduct campus visits, maintaining daily call ratio of 10 calls per day
