As a Senior Workday Project Manager, you are responsible for ensuring the successful completion of project deliverables such as charter, governance, project/staffing plan, and issue logs. You will work with the client project manager to govern milestone deliverables like Design sign off and Testing approvals, and address any issues that stand in the way of project success.

This remote role can be located anywhere within the U.S. or Canada. You will manage the implementation of two or more simultaneous projects, demonstrate competency in the Workday product suite including HCM, Payroll, and/or Financials, and provide guidance and mentoring to other Project Managers working on their implementations.

You will participate in the sales cycle when requested to gather requirements, formulate delivery approach, and develop proposals or Change Orders. Your role also involves facilitating clients’ intellectual and practical adoption of Workday best practices, ensuring projects are delivered within budget, and contributing to a culture of continuous education among colleagues and mentees.

Requirements

  • Current Workday Partner certification required
  • 3+ years’ experience project managing Workday HCM, Payroll, or Financial implementations with medium or large enterprise clients
  • Consulting experience either as an internal consultant or with a consulting/software company
  • Experience implementing Workday, Oracle, SAP, or PeopleSoft
  • Working knowledge with at least one of the following business areas: Human Resources, Benefits, Payroll, General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Services procurement
  • Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills
  • Passion for providing exceptional customer service
  • Business development skills; previous service sales experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage the implementation of 2+ simultaneous Workday projects
  • Work with the client project manager to identify and resolve all issues that could impact project scope or time frames
  • Ensure projects are properly planned, staffed, and delivered within the budget outlined in the SOW
  • Present clients with Change Orders when work falls outside the scope of the SOW
  • Participate in the sales cycle to gather requirements, formulate delivery approach, and develop proposals or Change Orders
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to other Project Managers working on their implementations
  • Work with Workday Delivery Assurance to ensure compliance with agreed to checkpoints
  • Facilitate clients’ intellectual and practical adoption of Workday best practices
