About this role
MedBridge Healthcare, a leader in sleep laboratory management services and sleep therapy, is seeking a dedicated Clinical Support Specialist with a background in sleep medicine. This full-time, mid-shift role requires three 12-hour shifts each week from 7 pm to 7 am EST, covering Sunday through Tuesday with rotating Saturdays.
In this role, you will provide essential clinical and technical assistance to the MedBridge Healthcare team and contribute to our Home Sleep Testing (HST) department. You will support sleep labs according to preset policies and procedures developed by the area's medical director, and assist physicians with editing report and interpretation templates in our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
Reporting to the Manager of the Clinical Support Department, you will also provide training for night clinical support staff and client staff, physicians, and MedBridge employees. You will offer technical support to sleep center staff and provide support for HST patients, including follow-up calls to ensure patients receive equipment.
This position offers the opportunity to help develop clinical operations procedures to improve current standards for diagnostic sleep centers. Candidates with supervisory experience, multi-state licenses, or additional credentials are preferred for this impactful role.
Requirements
- Current RPSGT credential holder
- High School diploma
- Minimum of five years' experience in sleep medicine as a Polysomnographic Technologist
- Minimum of two years' experience in scoring of sleep studies
- Minimum two years' experience with HST devices
- Knowledge of all aspects of polysomnography and sleep medicine protocols
- Knowledge of how to operate and maintain a variety of sleep equipment
- BLS/CPR-certified
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical support through phone, remote computer access systems, and texting platforms
- Provide clinical support to sleep labs according to preset policies and procedures developed by the area's medical director
- Assist physicians with editing report and interpretation templates in our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
- Provide training for night clinical support staff, client staff, physicians, and MedBridge employees
- Provide support for HST patients, including follow-up calls to assure patients receive equipment
- Evaluate study data quality for in-lab and HST studies, and score HST, MSLT, MWT, PSG, SPLIT, and PAP studies
- Perform quality assessments on technologist scoring and acquisitions, and produce comprehensive reports for the interpreting physician
- Help develop clinical operations procedures to improve current standards for diagnostic sleep centers
