Genea, a leader in property technology, is seeking a Senior Renewals Manager to own and shape the renewals function for our Security product from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to define how renewals are done—building processes, policies, playbooks, and commercial standards that transform a reactive, deadline-driven scramble into a proactive, value-led motion.

You will manage the end-to-end renewals book, eliminating backlog and shifting to a 90-day-out cadence (180 days for strategic accounts). Daily responsibilities include negotiating commercial terms, capturing price increases, and building a light expansion motion over time through upsell and cross-sell conversations.

This high-autonomy individual-contributor role partners closely with Finance, Sales, and Customer Success, and leverages offshore support for operational scale. You will have runway to integrate AI and automation into workflows, reporting directly to the COO for visible executive exposure.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in managing renewals for a SaaS or subscription-based product, ideally in property technology or security.
  • Experience designing and implementing renewals processes, policies, and playbooks from scratch or in a high-growth environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills to close commercial terms including pricing, multi-year commitments, and contract changes.
  • Ability to shift renewal cadences and drive proactive engagement with customers 90+ days out.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with Finance, Sales, and Customer Success teams to align on goals and execution.
  • Self-starter with high autonomy; comfortable in a senior individual-contributor role with room to build a team over time.
  • Familiarity with AI and automation tools to streamline renewal workflows and enhance efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end renewals book for Genea’s Security product, driving on-time renewals, eliminating the backlog, and hitting gross and net revenue retention targets.
  • Mature the Security renewals function by designing, documenting, and continuously improving processes, policies, playbooks, and best practices.
  • Shift the renewal motion from 30 days to a 90-day-out cadence (180 days for larger accounts), anchored on proactive value confirmation.
  • Negotiate and close commercial terms including SKU/edition changes, contractual price increases, multi-year commitments, and removal of introductory discounts.
  • Build a light expansion motion over 18 months, layering upsell and cross-sell into renewal conversations using value confirmation as a bridge.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Sales, and Customer Success to align on renewal strategy, account health, and handoffs.
