As a Sales Development Representative Intern, you’ll see business through the lens of the provider of the world's largest integrated new-school security awareness training and simulated phishing platform. You’ll grow knowledge of KnowBe4’s products, systems, business operations, and sales strategies.

The sales development internship program gives aspiring sales professionals exposure to real strategies and techniques applied in a working sales organization. You will get hands-on experience effectively finding, cleaning and prospecting new accounts to become KnowBe4 customers. Work alongside current SDRs and interface with Account Executives.

This hybrid role requires working in the Arlington, VA office 4 days a week (Monday - Thursday) for candidates in the greater Washington DC area. Dates of program: May 18th, 2026 - August 14th, 2026 (13 weeks). Interns engage in team-building activities and awesome socials.

Requirements

  • Aspiring sales professional interested in cybersecurity
  • Comfortable with outbound prospecting via calls and emails
  • Detail-oriented for mapping company structures and contacts
  • Eager to learn CRM database organization and maintenance
  • Prepared for role-playing sales conversations and objection handling
  • Able to shadow SDRs and listen to Account Executive demos
  • Interest in cross-functional sales team collaboration

Responsibilities

  • Map company structure and verify information to find workable accounts
  • Map and identify appropriate contacts from workable accounts
  • Learn critical elements of prospecting conversations in preparation for qualification calls
  • Role-play to learn conversation best practices, mirroring, labeling, and objection-handling techniques
  • Conduct calls and emails to drive solid demo bookings
  • Schedule and hand-off demo ready leads to quota carrying Sales Representatives
  • Organize, clean, prospect, and maintain CRM database
  • Shadow sales development representatives with prospective customers to grow conversation skills
