This remote role provides leadership and direction for a successful business development strategy with a major customer like Boeing Commercial Aircraft. It carries significant revenue responsibility for new and follow-on business.

Serve as the top-level business development, sales and strategy owner, developing and retaining long-term relationships. Lead customer strategy to achieve above-market growth, including pre-sales and insight selling. Provide proactive capture strategies encompassing pricing, competition, and SWOT analysis.

Accountable for Lifecycle Gate pre 0-3, from identifying to winning opportunities, leading proposal teams. Build and maintain customer and industry networks across program, supply chain, engineering, and strategy contacts. Collaborate with VP Programs and VP Business Line Strategy on intelligence and trends.

Track customer organizational changes and decision-making processes. Identify opportunities by studying competitors, market intelligence, and trends, pursuing teaming alliances. Enjoy fantastic challenges, amazing opportunities, and no limits to career growth in a global aerospace leader.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, business or related field
  • Broad knowledge and experience of the commercial aerospace industry and market
  • Product knowledge within the aerospace industry
  • Broad network across the commercial aerospace industry
  • GKN Aerospace experience
  • Existing relationships and network with Boeing Commercial Aircraft
  • Ability to operate and influence at appropriate levels internally and externally
  • Ability to anticipate future trends based on market intelligence

Responsibilities

  • Lead long-term customer strategy for Boeing Commercial Aircraft and Business Jet customers
  • Define and implement growth and sales strategy with customer(s) to achieve above-market growth
  • Provide proactive internal and customer-focused capture strategies for new opportunities
  • Lead Lifecycle Gate pre 0-3 from identifying to winning opportunities and proposal teams
  • Build and maintain effective customer and industry networks
  • Track customer organizational changes and decision-making processes
  • Collaborate with VP Programs and VP Business Line Strategy on market intelligence
  • Identify business development opportunities by studying competitors and market trends
