About this role

Stericycle is now part of WM. Secures new business by selling Regulated Medical Waste and Compliance service solutions. Responsible for growing revenue and profitability in assigned geographic area by selling these services while meeting or exceeding annual goals.

This remote position requires residence in the greater Long Island, NY area for customer support. Calls blocks to healthcare facilities to schedule on-site appointments and demonstrate Compliance capabilities. Builds and maintains a strong sales pipeline through prospecting and business development.

Sells regulated medical waste, OSHA, and HIPAA Compliance solutions with comprehensive knowledge of products and value proposition. Wins back lost business from previous Stericycle customers using communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Follows up on targeted marketing campaigns to grow business.

Builds trusting relationships with new and existing customers as a local subject matter expert. Participates in market development to increase penetration in under-developed areas. Motivated by success and result-oriented with urgency.

Requirements

  • Two years of field outside sales experience
  • Able and prepared to travel within a defined, local territory on a daily basis; minimal long-distance travel required
  • Valid Driver License and driving record within MVR guidelines
  • High School diploma or equivalency (accredited)
  • Experience selling in a business-to-business environment involving varying sales cycles and multiple decision makers
  • Experience in a high volume / high transaction industry
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain a strong sales pipeline
  • Strong prospecting and business development skills
