About this role

The Voith Group, a global technology company with a broad portfolio of systems, products, services, and digital applications, is seeking a Regional Head of Sales. This role is responsible for leading all regional sales activities and driving the go-to-market strategy to achieve sustainable and profitable growth.

In this role, you will develop and implement the regional sales strategy aligned with corporate objectives, define and steer the go-to-market approach, and establish market intelligence to support data-driven decision-making. You will engage intensively with customers, manage proposals and contract negotiations, and identify new project and service opportunities.

You will collaborate closely with global sales, business case owners, and regional stakeholders, managing the regional sales pipeline, forecasting, and KPI tracking. You will also lead and develop the regional sales organization, fostering a high-performance, customer-focused sales culture while ensuring compliance with corporate governance and sales processes.

This position offers the opportunity to drive expansion of the regional portfolio and market footprint, ensuring sustainable and profitable growth across all business segments. You will build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners, ensuring high customer satisfaction and long-term business development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field; a Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a comparable field is preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in sales or service sales, including several years in a senior leadership role within an OEM or project-driven, international environment.
  • Experience in the energy or hydropower industry.
  • Proven track record in driving sustainable and profitable growth, with full responsibility for regional sales performance, pipelines, and financial targets.
  • Strong strategic capabilities combined with hands-on execution skills.
  • Experience developing competitive and profitable proposals in collaboration with Tendering, Engineering, and Project Management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the regional sales strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Define and steer the regional go-to-market approach in coordination with Service Hubs and Key Account Management.
  • Establish and leverage market intelligence to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Drive intensive customer engagement, proposal management, and contract negotiation.
  • Identify and develop new project and service opportunities to expand the regional portfolio and market footprint.
  • Manage the regional sales pipeline, forecasting, and KPI tracking to ensure achievement of sales targets and financial objectives.
  • Lead and develop the regional sales organization, fostering a high-performance, customer-focused sales culture.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance and sales processes while maintaining full responsibility for sales performance and profitable growth.
