Acquire insurance benefit coverage via phone or online portal and interpret information to determine anticipated client costs. Use discernment to verify insurance data quality and assess case viability based on reimbursement, payer requirements, and conversion likelihood prior to trial. Determine device trial funding options from patient's insurance coverage.

Recognize potential coordination of benefits issues and proactively resolve discrepancies with patients or care partners. Review benefits for accuracy before sale, communicate funding options clearly in CRM and to staff, and maintain HIPAA-compliant patient records. Track issues to aid team resolution and prevention.

Work remotely from a home office maintaining a safe, productive workspace with reliable internet. Demonstrate strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and adaptability while showing compassion for clients with speech impairments. Proactively escalate issues with a solutions-oriented mindset and willingness to go above and beyond.

Requirements

Knowledge of insurance and funding sources for DME
Strong data entry and organizational skills with high attention to detail
Effective verbal and written communication skills with a professional, customer-focused approach
Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain consistent performance in a fast-paced, routine-driven environment
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to assess risk and make informed decisions
Methodical and detail-oriented approach to gathering information and resolving issues

Responsibilities

Acquire insurance benefit coverage via phone or online portal
Interpret benefit coverage information to determine anticipated costs for clients
Verify quality of information provided by insurance companies using discernment and judgment
Assess business viability of each case by evaluating expected reimbursement, payer requirements, and likelihood of successful conversion prior to trial
Determine device trial funding options based on the patient’s insurance coverage
Recognize and identify potential coordination of benefits (COB) issues and proactively resolve discrepancies
Review benefits for accuracy prior to sale
Clearly communicate funding options in CRM and to Lingraphica staff
