Consistent with CTU's mission to provide industry-relevant higher education through innovative technology and experienced faculty, Adjunct Faculty deliver quality instruction and meaningful student engagement. This supports achievement of course, program, and degree outcomes while fostering academic success for diverse students.
Prepare relevant, insightful instructional materials and deliver courses aligned with CTU curricula, technologies, and expectations. Engage students professionally to encourage participation and relate industry experience to the Professional Learning Model, including trends and skills development.
Maintain accessibility via phone, email, and office hours while assessing performance and providing feedback. Collaborate with advising, leadership, and staff to support challenged or exceptional students, referring to resources like tutoring and career services.
Participate in academic governance through meetings and assessment processes. Complete required trainings in faculty certification, ethics, and development, while updating documentation on licensures, certifications, and professional experience.
Work closely with Program Chair or Lead Faculty, abiding by the Faculty Handbook. Opportunities include ongoing professional skills development and introduction of industry perspectives into courses.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Marketing
- Minimum 5 years professional experience in Marketing
- 3+ years documented professional experience working with Excel and PowerPoint
- Certification and license required
- Terminal Degree in Marketing (preferred)
- 3+ years experience with spreadsheet applications including Microsoft Excel for data management, analysis, and presentation (preferred)
- 3+ years documented experience teaching adult, non-traditional, and Active-Duty Military/Veterans students (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Prepare relevant, insightful, and engaging instructional materials that support learning
- Provide instruction in assigned Marketing courses aligned with CTU curricula and technologies
- Engage and communicate with students to encourage participation while maintaining professionalism
- Relate professional Marketing experience to CTU's Professional Learning Model and industry trends
- Assess student performance on assignments and provide feedback for growth
- Maintain weekly office hours and timely responsiveness to students and staff
- Participate in academic governance and continuous improvement initiatives
- Work closely with Program Chair and complete required faculty trainings
