Midi Health

Remote · Full-time · $180,000 – $230,000

About this role

Midi Health is redefining healthcare for women in midlife, and we are looking for our first Director of Internal Communications to build our internal comms function from the ground up. In this role, you will architect the systems, processes, and rituals that will enable our organization across hundreds of employees across both our corporate and clinical teams.

You will design and execute a comprehensive internal communications strategy that supports Midi's business goals and reinforces our mission-driven culture. Day-to-day, you will act as a primary advisor to the leadership team, craft impactful messaging for All Hands and internal memos, and develop creative content programs from video and podcasts to interactive digital experiences.

Reporting to the VP of Communications, you will work fluidly across Clinical and Corporate teams to ensure the right message reaches the right audience at the right time. You will exercise strong judgment in high-pressure situations, providing steady guidance during periods of rapid change or organizational shifts.

This is a rare opportunity to build an internal comms function from scratch at a fast-growing, mission-driven company that just reached unicorn status. If you are equally inspired by high-level strategic thinking and systems design as you are running a breakthrough All Hands, we would love to hear from you.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in communications, with a significant portion dedicated to internal comms within high-growth tech or healthcare environments.
  • Ability to influence without formal authority and navigate complex organizational structures with ease and diplomacy.
  • Skill in taking complex clinical data or technical product roadmaps and turning them into a narrative that resonates with every employee, from clinicians to software engineers.
  • Proven experience as a trusted partner for executives, providing counsel and feedback, reading the room, and managing high-stakes meetings.
  • Experience architecting internal communications systems and processes from the ground up in a scaling organization.
  • Strong creative instincts for developing breakthrough content and running engaging company-wide events like All Hands meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute a comprehensive internal communications strategy that supports Midi's business goals and reinforces our mission-driven culture.
  • Act as a primary advisor to the leadership team, establish their voices and swim lanes, and craft impactful messaging for All Hands, internal memos, and sensitive organizational changes.
  • Work fluidly across Clinical and Corporate teams to ensure the right message to the right audience at the right time while strengthening our 'one team' mentality.
  • Develop creative content programs—from video and podcasts to interactive digital experiences—that capture the hearts, minds, and attention of our employees.
  • Exercise strong judgment in high-pressure situations, providing steady guidance and clear communication during periods of rapid change or organizational shifts.
  • Create the right pipes for information to flow by evaluating and implementing the right tech stack, including Intranet, Slack protocols, and feedback loops, with an AI-first mentality.
  • Set an inspiring vision and secure buy-in from key stakeholders for the internal communications roadmap.

Benefits

  • Fully remote or hybrid (Bay Area) work flexibility.
  • Opportunity to build the internal comms function from scratch at a unicorn-status company.
  • Mission-driven environment focused on redefining healthcare for women in midlife.
  • Work with top-tier investors and a rapidly scaling team.
