About this role
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in expanding NielsenIQ’s footprint within the media agency space. Primary responsibility will be to engage with media agencies, developing and executing a strategic sales plan to increase revenue through NIQ audience data, planning and measurement solutions. Leverage industry expertise to drive long-term client relationships and optimize client investments.
Employ a consultative approach to deeply understand clients’ needs and position NIQ solutions to solve their business challenges. Prospect for new business opportunities, generate sales leads, and maintain a pipeline consistent with NIQ’s growth strategy. Negotiate annual or multi-year contracts to ensure maximum renewal rate.
While this role is remote based in the Tri-State area, it is field-facing with regular travel to meet agencies, build relationships, and lead educational sessions. Thrive in a strong team-based environment, collaborating with Customer Success and Product teams for client satisfaction and growth. Work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
Achieve sales quota consistent with NIQ margin goals through out-of-the-box thinking and capitalizing on new opportunities. This commission-based selling role offers base compensation plus sales-based incentive tied to annual revenue generation vs. target. Help agencies utilize NIQ’s data to improve audience targeting, planning, and campaign measurement.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably within the media agency, ad tech or data analytics space
- Strong understanding of programmatic, audience data, measurement solutions and media buying processes within media agencies
- Established contacts within Media & Social Agencies required
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and growing revenue with large enterprise clients
- Exceptional relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills
- Experienced in scoping and developing proposals and negotiation strategies
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Excellent sales pipeline management skills with a track record of predictability and consistency
Responsibilities
- Prospect, network, and develop new business opportunities with media agencies

- Communicate effectively with clients both written and orally and provide excellent customer support
- Generate sales leads and maintain a pipeline of sales opportunities across a portfolio of clients

- Develop insightful presentations and educate clients on current NIQ capabilities and resources
- Achieve sales quota consistent with NIQ margin goals and delivery expectations
- Collaborate with Customer Success and Product teams to ensure client satisfaction, renewal and growth
