About this role

Lignetics, the largest manufacturer of domestic wood pellet fuel in the United States with twenty-nine facilities nationwide, seeks a motivated, energetic self-starter to join our Sales organization as a Customer & Order Management Specialist for Strategic Accounts. This fully remote position is dedicated to maintaining, cultivating, and supporting a network of retailers and distributors throughout specific regions of the United States, with a specialized focus on the grocery channel and other strategic channels.

In this role, you will be a lead member on the key account team, overseeing order fulfillment, order management, and account setup for all strategic account customers. Day-to-day responsibilities include verifying Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) order transmissions, troubleshooting order fulfillment issues with plants and customers, and tracking pricing, discounts, and allowances for strategic accounts.

Reporting directly to the Sales Operations Supervisor for Strategic Accounts, you will work closely with your manager to ensure orders are fulfilled in a timely and efficient manner. You will act as the primary internal contact for strategic account sales reps, assist with identifying production and distribution center demand for orders, and maintain documentation for strategic customer requirements.

This position offers an opportunity to become an integral part of establishing new customers for EDI and setting up new products for existing strategic account customers. You will also assist with processing and analyzing data for key accounts, providing essential support to brand managers and the broader account team.

Requirements

  • Experience in order management and customer service, preferably in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processes and account setup.
  • Ability to analyze data and identify inventory and order deadline issues.
  • Comfortable working directly with third-party manufacturers to fulfill strategic account orders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the key account team in overseeing and ensuring fulfillment, order management, and account setup for all strategic account customers.
  • Verify Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) order transmission on all orders.
  • Help manager identify possible inventory and order deadline issues and take corrective action when possible.
  • Train and maintain Logistics & Plant Operations Teams in compliance for strategic account orders.
  • Troubleshoot order fulfillment issues for strategic accounts with plants, CS Specialists, and customers.
  • Create and maintain documentation for strategic customer requirements.
  • Track and manage pricing, discounts, and allowances for strategic accounts.
  • Dispute non-compliance issues for key customers and assist manager with implementing corrective procedures.
