About this role

As an Associate Project Manager, you will lead sustaining projects on the Urology Project Management team. You will collaborate cross-functionally and internationally to drive projects critical to business growth and continuity. Join a team of passionate individuals striving to improve patient care.

Projects vary in size and scope but may include supporting Quality/Regulation driven projects, material or supplier changes, product extensions, value improvement projects, or product design enhancements. These projects often have a high level of visibility throughout the organization. This role interfaces with key cross-functional groups including R&D, marketing, clinical, medical safety, design quality, regulatory affairs, process development and operations.

Lead diverse, cross-functional team(s) to evaluate, design, build, and implement solutions supporting project goals. Engage with functional managers to manage the portfolio of sustaining projects for your business unit and align project priorities and resource needs. Create a cohesive strategy for project execution, an effective project team culture, and drive execution to ensure project completion.

Partner with a variety of functions, regions, and business resources to achieve objectives. Interact with senior leaders on complex matters and prepare project status updates for management. Build quality into all aspects of work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Engineering, Project Management, or Business
  • 4 to 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Project management experience leading cross functional teams
  • Project management experience managing project scope, schedule and budget, and ability to balance multiple priorities
  • Strong cross-functional communication, team building, planning and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable communicating and/or presenting in front of all levels of the organization
  • Experience in the medical device industry
  • PMP certification beneficial but not required

Responsibilities

  • Partner and collaborate with a variety of functions, regions, and business resources to achieve project objectives
  • Generate and implement project plans, communications, and schedules to assist with task prioritization and workload adjustments
  • Manage project challenges including scope impact assessments and recommended solutions
  • Build team ownership and commitment to project plan and identify, manage, and communicate project risks
  • Interact with senior leaders on complex matters requiring coordination between organizations
  • Prepare and deliver project status updates to management
  • Document risk mitigation plans, decision logs, meeting minutes, project metrics, and other key communications
  • Identify resources required for project activities, develop project budgets, resource allocations and timelines
