About this role

The Scrum Master supports project teams in delivering high-quality products, features, and services. Success requires knowledge of agile frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, and traditional project management principles. The role advocates for the Bank's Agile transformation while selecting the best methodology for each project or initiative.

Day-to-day involves guiding teams on Agile practices, facilitating Scrum and Kanban events such as Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Retrospective, and Backlog Grooming. Remove impediments, resolve conflicts, and drive decision-making to ensure successful product delivery. Employ creativity and out-of-the-box thinking to address blockers.

Collaborate closely with the Cloud Portfolio Manager, Product Owners, other Scrum Masters, and teams. Build strong relationships through excellent verbal and written communication to foster a collaborative atmosphere. Mentor teams toward high performance by recognizing strengths and areas for improvement.

Contribute to advancing Agile practices organization-wide and support higher levels of agile maturity. Work with Product Owners on requirement shifts or pivots. Grow within the role alongside coaches and peers while ensuring compliance with banking regulations.

Requirements

  • 3-4 years experience of product or project development utilizing an agile framework
  • At least 2 years experience in traditional project management
  • Scrum Master certification or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to create Kanban boards, gadgets, dashboards, reports
  • Agile or project management certifications a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree in Project Management or equivalent experience

  • Facilitate and support all Scrum/Kanban events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective, Backlog Grooming
  • Resolve conflicts and remove impediments to assure successful delivery of product features
  • Promote and support the team and organization in achieving higher levels of agile maturity
  • Work with Product Owners to identify requirement shifts, changes, and pivots
  • Utilize creativity and out-of-the-box thinking when addressing challenges or blockers
