At the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, we harness technology to pursue ambitious goals like curing disease and transforming education. This role sits at the intersection of brand, content, and execution, guiding creative work across internal teams and external partners.
You will lead day-to-day relationships with creative and production agencies, setting direction and ensuring high-quality delivery. You will translate complex scientific and technical work into accessible creative direction, managing timelines, scopes, and expectations across multiple partners.
Reporting to the VP of Marketing & Operations, you will work closely with social media and product UX teams. You will manage a small team of full-time and contract creatives, upholding brand standards and identifying gaps in how the brand shows up.
This role is for someone who brings strong taste, exercises influence, and knows how to extract great work from collaborators on complex subject matter. Your contributions help turn bold ideas into real-world impact across Biohub and Learning Commons.
Requirements
- Proven ability to guide creative work across internal teams and external partners
- Strong taste and ability to exercise influence to get great work out of agencies
- Experience managing a small team of full-time and contract creatives
- Ability to translate complex scientific and technical subject matter into clear, compelling creative
- Deep understanding of brand stewardship and consistency across channels
- Experience leading day-to-day relationships with creative and production agencies
- Skilled in setting direction, reviewing work, and ensuring high-quality delivery against mission alignment
