About this role

Tesco India is hiring a Decision Scientist for a hybrid role in Bengaluru, working 45 hours full-time on a permanent basis. You will identify operational improvements by applying CI tools and techniques while completing tasks within agreed KPIs. Fundamental work theories and processes will guide your contributions to better decision making.

Engage with business and functional partners to understand priorities, ask relevant questions, and scope analytical solution documents. Highlight how data science applications improve outcomes using multiple complex dataset sources. Prepare analytical datasets with in-depth technique understanding for model building.

Build statistical models and ML algorithms at practitioner level competency. Write structured, modularized, codified algorithms using Continuous Improvement principles, developing knowledge assets on GitHub and Wiki with expert competency. Collaborate in a green campus environment with sports facilities like cricket pitch and courts.

Requirements

In-depth understanding of techniques to prepare analytical datasets from complex sources
Practitioner level competency in building statistical models and ML algorithms
Expert competency in writing structured, modularized codified algorithms
Knowledge of Continuous Improvement tools and techniques
Ability to apply data science to improve decision making
Experience scoping analytical solutions with business partners
Proficiency in developing reusable knowledge assets
