About this role

Omdia, part of Informa TechTarget, is seeking an experienced Principal Analyst to lead our Data Center Thermal Management, Power, and Cooling research. This role requires deep technical expertise in data center infrastructure, cooling technologies, and power systems to deliver authoritative market intelligence to our global client base.

The successful candidate will lead comprehensive research coverage of the global data center UPS and thermal management market, including air cooling, liquid cooling, and hybrid cooling solutions. Day-to-day work includes developing, maintaining, and contributing to market forecasts and strategic analysis that guide client investment decisions.

You will join a vibrant community of over 2000 colleagues across 19 global locations, collaborating with some of the industry's most respected experts. You'll be part of Omdia's team of more than 300 analysts and consultants covering over 200 technology markets across 25 research locations.

Requirements

Deep technical expertise in data center infrastructure, cooling technologies, and power systems
Experience leading research on data center UPS and thermal management
Ability to develop and maintain market forecasts
Experience delivering strategic market intelligence to technology buyers and sellers
Strong background in B2B technology research and advisory
Ability to conduct insightful conversations with industry leaders and analyze thousands of data points
Knowledge of technology markets including cloud, AI, cybersecurity, and semiconductors

Responsibilities

Lead comprehensive research coverage of the global data center UPS and thermal management market, including air cooling, liquid cooling, and hybrid cooling solutions
Develop, maintain, and contribute to market forecasts for data center thermal management, power, and cooling technologies
Deliver authoritative market intelligence and strategic insights to global clients
Provide expert-led, data-driven advisory services that deliver significant impact and measurable outcomes
Identify and analyze the most promising opportunities to drive the industry forward
Advise clients on product strategy, market entry, and competitive positioning
Inform and influence technology buyers and sellers to accelerate growth from R&D to ROI
