About this role

In your new role as Senior Manager Pharma Network Innovation & Harmonisation, you ensure harmonised, robust manufacturing and packaging processes for multisite Human Pharma products in the global Boehringer Pharma network on internal and external levels. This position has a hybrid setup with approximately 2-3 days per week on site. It is part time eligible with 70%.

You lead international and interdisciplinary Transfer-, CMC-Upgrades-, and Innovation-projects from assessment to closure, with focus on aseptic filling and assembly of combination products. Keep the balance between pharmaceutical-technological innovation, economical interests, and strategic aspects for assigned assets across the BI internal and external network.

Report to executive decision bodies relevant for Product Lifecycle Management and BI Supply Pharma Network Management, proposing production lead sites for new multisite HP products. Develop and foster close and seamless collaboration within the BI Supply network as well as with external partners using an agile mindset.

Support the creation and establishment of modern and efficient learning platforms. Act as divisional system owner for Process transfers and/or Pharma Production.

Requirements

  • Master or diploma in Pharmacy, Chemistry or Engineering; PhD is of advantage
  • Several years of experience in different functions within the pharmaceutical industry, preferably emphasis on Operations, Regulatory and Drug Product Development aspects
  • Demonstrated leadership capability in guiding people and leaders with varying qualification levels
  • Successful experience in managing cross-functional, interdisciplinary and international virtual teams
  • Strong state-of-the-art project management skills, preferably with certification in new methodologies (e.g. agile management tools)
  • Sound knowledge in Drug Product process development, scale-up and production with strong focus on aseptic filling and assembly of combination products
  • Customer centricity and quality-oriented mindset as well as reliable budget-management and strong decision-taking skills
  • Excellent collaboration skills in intercultural environment with strong negotiation skills; English mandatory, German and Spanish beneficial
