Join Toyota Material Handling as an Electrical Engineer designing and integrating IoT technologies into material handling equipment. Design components using new technologies for IoT telematics systems and lead innovation via feasibility studies on features. Interpret product requirements to develop functional and system specifications, then author documentation for suppliers. Participate in wire harness design reviews for hardware compatibility.

Create and update technical documents including DFMEA, DVP&R, test plans, and product manuals. Diagnose hardware/software in OEM forklifts, engage in supplier discussions, and collaborate cross-functionally for manufacturability, cost, quality, and delivery. Position may hire as Level I or II, reflecting Level II duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electronics Engineering
  • Minimum 2+ years of post-graduate Electrical Systems Engineering experience
  • Good knowledge of electronics design, including PCB and circuit design
  • Foundational knowledge of programming languages such as C and C++
  • Understanding of serial communication, vehicle dynamics, controller hardware and software
  • Skilled with DMM, oscilloscope, power supplies and other diagnostic equipment
  • Strong understanding of low voltage analog, digital, high speed, and RF circuits
  • Strong understanding of common control system topologies, motor drives and motors

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability, cost, quality and delivery
