About this role

Aqua Consultants have an exciting opportunity to work with United Utilities on their Better Rivers Programme. You will be involved in projects that improve infrastructure and reduce spills to watercourse by 60%. This permanent full-time role offers hybrid working with 2-3 days per week in office and site visits as required.

You will deliver project tasks, designs and manage a multi-disciplinary team on wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects. These span various stages in the project life cycle. Ensure all are delivered within agreed timeframes and budget.

Lead a team of diverse individuals, line manage and mentor junior engineers including training. Foster a culture of knowledge sharing, continuous improvement and proactive risk mitigation. Promote a safe working culture within project teams.

Generate business in line with frameworks and new opportunities. Manage client relationships to hit KPIs and exceed expectations. Demonstrate commitment to company purpose, vision, values and culture.

Requirements

Extensive experience and understanding of the water industry, water and sewage treatment processes
Extensive experience in feasibility, outline, detailed design and technical reviews
Extensive experience in proposal fee / hours estimation for design schemes
Understanding of DSEAR, CDM, WIMES, British and European Standards
Ability to generate innovative solutions to deliver added value for clients
Leadership of diverse team encouraging agile delivery
Commercial and contractual awareness
Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 packages
