About this role

GOBHI has an immediate opening for a full-time Brokerage Intake Specialist (Call Taker). This remote position will be based out of the employee’s home located in the state of Oregon. The role supports the Medical Brokerage Call Center by answering phones, responding to members, performing data entry, inquiry requests, and clerical duties.

Daily tasks include fielding incoming phone calls, interviewing eligible clients to obtain ride request information, assessing eligibility according to program regulations, and providing timely ride assignments to providers. Perform data entry of ride and billing information, maintain records and reports, process mail, and prepare denial letters to CCO. Document rides providers cannot deliver and assist with alternative arrangements.

Requirements

  • Minimum one year experience working in a call center or medical office setting
  • Superior Customer Service skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software and Google Suites
  • Strong and reliable internet connection
  • Flexible; able to multi-task in response to time sensitive and changing situations
  • Handles highly sensitive and confidential information
  • Positive attitude – ability to approach problems in a positive manner

Responsibilities

  • Field incoming phone calls

  • Maintain records and reports within areas of responsibility
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail
