About this role

We're looking for a Senior Staff Marketing Engineer to architect the technical foundation of a modern, AI-powered marketing organization. This is a rare opportunity for a seasoned software engineer who has moved deep into agentic systems and AI infrastructure to apply that expertise in a high-impact, cross-functional role.

You'll be the technical backbone of the marketing org—designing and building the systems, workflows, and automation infrastructure that allow a lean team to operate at the speed and scale of one ten times its size. You'll build intelligent solutions on top of existing platforms, identifying where agentic AI can unlock new capabilities and eliminate bottlenecks.

This is an individual contributor role with significant organizational reach, where you'll lead through influence and partner closely with engineering, operations, B2B, and marketing leadership. Your work will directly shape how we acquire, engage, and retain customers across direct-to-consumer, retail, and B2B/B2B2C channels.

You'll stay ahead of the rapidly evolving agentic AI landscape and translate emerging capabilities into practical solutions with measurable impact. Over time, you'll mentor and elevate the technical capabilities of the broader marketing team.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience
  • Deep expertise in agentic systems and AI infrastructure
  • Experience architecting and deploying automated workflows at scale
  • Ability to evaluate and integrate AI tooling across a marketing technology stack
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical initiatives through influence, not authority
  • Strong track record of identifying operational bottlenecks and designing scalable, intelligent solutions
  • Experience partnering with marketing, operations, or B2B teams to extend automation solutions

Responsibilities

  • Architect and deploy agentic workflows that automate high-volume, repeatable marketing operations—from lead management and campaign execution to content production and reporting.
  • Build intelligent solutions within existing marketing platforms, extending what tools like our CRM, asset/content creation, and ecommerce stack can do by layering agentic and AI capabilities on top of them.
  • Identify where AI can create new opportunities within existing workflows, not just streamline them—surfacing capabilities the team didn't previously have.
  • Define the technical standards and architectural patterns that govern how the marketing org builds and automates going forward.
  • Partner with marketing leadership to build a technical roadmap aligned with business priorities and growth targets.
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison between Marketing and the broader engineering organization, ensuring marketing systems are built to company-wide standards.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into accessible language for non-technical stakeholders, and translate business requirements into well-scoped engineering solutions.

Benefits

  • Remote or hybrid work flexibility
  • Opportunity to architect the technical foundation of an AI-powered marketing organization
  • High-impact, cross-functional role with significant organizational reach
  • Work with a lean team operating at the speed and scale of one ten times its size
