About this role
The Salesforce Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions on the Salesforce platform. This role supports TPx's business operations, focusing exclusively on application development including custom code, integrations, data models, and automation for Sales, Service, and Marketing teams. Reports to the Director of IT Solutions.
Works closely with architects, administrators, business analysts, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into well-designed Salesforce solutions. Aligns with platform best practices and organizational standards. No direct reports in this self-directed position.
Daily tasks involve designing and deploying custom solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and platform automation. Builds scalable data models, optimizes Lightning experiences, implements automations, and develops integrations with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs.
Operates autonomously, owning development from design through deployment and release support. Proactively identifies opportunities to improve performance, scalability, and maintainability. Stays current with Salesforce releases, features, and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; or equivalent professional experience
- 3+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience
- Strong proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Salesforce declarative automation tools
- Experience with Salesforce data models, custom objects, and security configurations
- Knowledge of integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and event-driven architectures
- Familiarity with Salesforce Flows, approval processes, and Lightning experiences
- Understanding of Apex triggers, classes, batch jobs, and scheduled processes
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and platform automation
- Build and maintain scalable data models, custom objects, fields, validation rules, and security configurations
- Develop and optimize Lightning experiences, including record pages, apps, and user interfaces
- Implement and maintain Salesforce automation such as Flows, approval processes, and orchestration logic
- Design and develop integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, and event-driven architectures
- Write, maintain, and optimize Apex triggers, classes, batch jobs, and scheduled processes following Salesforce best practices
- Collaborate with Salesforce Administrators and Architects to ensure solutions are performant, secure, and maintainable
- Participate in release planning, deployments, and post-release support activities
