About this role

We are looking for an experienced Business Support Officer to support the Public Health service and facilitate the smooth running of the public health office. You will provide support across all areas including Corporate Governance, HR, Health and Safety, Public Health Partnerships, Business Continuity and Service delivery. Our Public Health service is dedicated to making Norfolk a place where everyone can start life well and age well.

The role includes providing support to the Delivery Manager and Office Coordinators, along with diary and email support to members of the Senior Management Team. You will offer secretariat and project management support to key Public Health Partnerships. Additionally, support the Public Health Office with key initiatives and strategic themes within the department.

You will work in a forward-thinking team environment, collaborating across all levels of the organisation. The hybrid model allows working from home with office attendance for face-to-face and team meetings. This setup supports proactive planning and smooth departmental operations.

Requirements

  • Forward thinking and proactive with ability to forward plan
  • Good organisational skills and good team player
  • Used to working at all levels within an organisation and personable
  • High level IT skills
  • Ability to instigate, set up and minute meetings
  • Experience of maintaining, updating, and monitoring information on SharePoint
  • Relevant office experience
  • Able to work under pressure to meet specified deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Support the Public Health service to facilitate the smooth running of the public health office
