We're seeking a skilled Infrastructure Architect to design secure, scalable infrastructure focused on AWS and containerised workloads.

In this role, you will lead designs for AWS cloud solutions, architect containerised platforms using EKS and ECS on Linux, and develop architecture blueprints and decision records. You'll conduct reviews of existing systems, drive improvements to legacy infrastructure, and define standards to guide engineering teams. Collaboration with Application Security and DevOps ensures security-by-design and optimized CI/CD pipelines.

Join our Architecture team alongside an existing Infrastructure Architect, bringing complementary expertise in AWS ECS, containerisation, and application-layer infrastructure. The team emphasizes close collaboration, knowledge sharing, and input into each other's designs. Work in a Remote First environment with asynchronous communication and high autonomy.

Requirements

Expertise in AWS cloud environments with focus on ECS and EKS
Strong skills in designing secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure
Proficiency in containerisation technologies and Linux platforms
Experience architecting containerised workloads and application-layer infrastructure
Knowledge of architecture blueprints, ADRs, and reference architectures
Ability to conduct infrastructure reviews and identify improvement opportunities
Familiarity with cloud-native patterns and migration from legacy systems
Understanding of security policies, best practices, and CI/CD pipeline design

Responsibilities

Lead the design of new cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS, ensuring alignment with scalability, security, and reliability requirements
Architect and document containerised workload platforms using AWS EKS and AWS ECS on Linux
Develop and maintain architecture blueprints, decision records (ADRs), and reference architectures
Define infrastructure standards, patterns, and guardrails to guide engineering teams
Conduct architecture reviews of existing systems, identifying risks, gaps, and opportunities for improvement
Drive the evolution of legacy infrastructure toward modern, cloud-native patterns
Evaluate and recommend new tools, services, and approaches to improve infrastructure maturity
Partner with Application Security teams to embed security-by-design principles throughout infrastructure architecture
