About this role

Mindrift is looking for skilled n8n Workflow Developers to join the Tendem project and contribute to building and optimizing automation workflows within our hybrid AI + human system. As an AI Pilot, you’ll collaborate with Tendem Agents handling repetitive tasks, providing structured thinking, automation expertise, and quality control. This part-time remote opportunity suits professionals with no-code automation and workflow design experience.

You'll design, build, and optimize automation pipelines in self-hosted n8n environments, integrating multiple systems and AI capabilities for scalable workflows. Key focus includes lead generation, outreach, data processing, web scraping, and ensuring reliable data extraction. Optimize node sequencing, error handling, and execution to avoid failures, delays, and API timeouts.

The Mindrift platform connects specialists with AI projects from major tech innovators, unlocking Generative AI potential through global real-world expertise. You'll work in self-hosted setups on the Tendem project, architecting multi-system integrations. This freelance role emphasizes independent troubleshooting and system scaling.

Contributors can earn up to $60 per hour equivalent, depending on level and pace. Compensation varies by project scope, complexity, and expertise. Gain exposure to advanced AI-powered workflows like content generation and enrichment systems.

Requirements

At least 3 years of relevant experience in automation engineering, workflow development, integrations, or software development (required)
Strong experience with n8n, including self-hosted setups and workflow orchestration
Proven ability to design and manage complex automation systems across multiple tools and services
Solid background in API integrations, webhooks, and multi-system data synchronization
Experience with web scraping, data extraction, and handling structured/unstructured data (JSON, CSV, APIs)
Experience integrating AI tools (OpenAI, Claude, or similar) into automation pipelines
Strong understanding of API limits, execution patterns, and workflow optimization techniques
English proficiency: Upper-intermediate (B2) or above (required)
