Bayer offers an exciting Master Thesis position on microsolvation in biological systems with a hybrid work option. The 6-month role, starting June or July 2026, allows you to gather experiences, acquire new knowledge, and orient your career. Your daily tasks involve developing workflows for placing water molecules in protein-ligand systems. You establish and evaluate the FEBISS method on research-relevant cases. Build connections within Bayer's R&D community while preparing publications, presentations, and documentation.

Requirements
- Enrolled as Master student in a natural science program (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics or comparable)
- Knowledge in computational chemistry and modeling; first experiences with statistical thermodynamics of solvation advantageous
- Experience in a programming language like Python and familiarity with tools like PyMOL, Chimera, ORCA, Amber, or GROMACS
- Strong foundation in (Bio)Chemistry
- Flexible and able to work in a structured, independent manner
- Interest in analyzing complex relationships and interdisciplinary questions
- Previous contact with Git and Linux
Responsibilities
