About this role

GFN GmbH, an IT-specialized education provider, supports people across Germany in further training and career reorientation. We seek trainers for multi-week online CompTIA A+ courses in the funded education sector, either freelance or in permanent positions.

Trainers deliver IT trainings covering hardware installation, configuration, and maintenance, along with IT support. Sessions include operating systems knowledge for Linux, Windows, and macOS, plus network and security basics, virtualization, cloud concepts, and exam preparation.

Requirements

  • Teaching experience in adult education, ideally in funded sector (proof required)
  • IHK trainer qualification (AEVO) or willingness to obtain
  • Completed IT vocational training, Computer Science degree, or equivalent
  • Current CompTIA A+ certification; additional CompTIA certifications advantageous
  • Comfort working with heterogeneous groups
  • Willingness to continuously further educate

Responsibilities

  • Deliver IT trainings in CompTIA A+ courses
  • Teach installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware
  • Provide training in IT support
  • Instruct on operating systems knowledge (Linux, Windows, macOS)
  • Cover network and security fundamentals
  • Explain virtualization and cloud concepts
  • Prepare participants for CompTIA A+ exams
