Requirements

Understanding of modern data engineering principles and the data lifecycle
Awareness of enterprise data governance, metadata, and quality requirements
Experience in managing data across on-prem and cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, Databricks)
Understanding of data modelling principles and SQL-based analytics with proficiency in Python
Experience building pipelines using tools like Apache Spark, Airflow, and Delta Lake
Experience with Git-based version control and CI/CD processes (e.g. GitLab)

Responsibilities

Design and implement data pipelines and workflows supporting data ingestion, transformation, and delivery
Ensure data is captured, stored, and made accessible in a secure, scalable, and reusable manner
Understand enterprise data architecture and governance policies to ensure compliance and traceability
Work under general direction, exercising substantial autonomy in identifying and resolving data engineering issues
Collaborate with data platform, product, and analytics teams to ensure data accessibility for analytics and AI/ML
Participate in external activities or industry groups relevant to data engineering and platform design
Support continuous improvement in data engineering practices and contribute to team knowledge sharing
