Senior Software Engineers at Telnyx make significant decisions across teams, building delightful features that span the system. Backend engineers collaborate across nearly every team to design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems. Requirements

6+ years of professional software development experience with a functional programming language (Elixir/Erlang preferred)
Experience working with relational databases at scale
Deep knowledge of microservice architecture patterns and anti-patterns
Experience with message queues like RabbitMQ and Kafka
Understand challenges inherent in concurrent and distributed programming
Experience with exotic databases/key-value stores such as ETS, Mnesia, Cassandra and Redis
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Consul, Jenkins, Prometheus, or RabbitMQ

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems across Telnyx’s engineering teams
Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack
Work with engineers across the company to build new features at large scale
Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes
Build successful products or systems with lots of moving pieces
Solve users’ pain points in collaboration with business, sales, and operations teams
