As a QA Automation Engineer you develop highly effective and sustainable test automation for our API, web, and mobile platforms. The role reports to a QA Manager and leads quality efforts within your squad to ensure the user experience matches our intentions.

You work closely with Product, Design, Engineering, and Platform teams to take acceptance criteria and build test automation that delivers both coverage and depth. You contribute to robust testing platforms and frameworks while troubleshooting issues as a critical squad member.

Requirements

Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals and data structures with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Expert level knowledge with automated test tools and concepts including Web Services, REST API testing and automation, and mobile E2E testing frameworks
Experience building and operating low-maintenance testing frameworks using Detox, Jest, WireMock, and Testmo
Deep understanding of QA methodologies, life cycle, processes, and multiple forms of software testing
Act-like-an-owner mentality with bias toward taking action and ruthless prioritization
Strong quality mindset visible in the quality of artefacts produced and desire for continuous improvement
Strong collaborative style working with diverse teams in product, engineering, and design

Responsibilities

Take acceptance criteria and work with your squad to develop effective test automation
Dive deep into test cases to ensure coverage and depth across component, regression, functional, stress, and performance testing
Contribute to robust testing platforms and frameworks using tools such as Detox, Jest, WireMock, and Testmo
Develop reusable testing solutions for new and existing application functionality
Participate in the greater QA team’s best practices in test development and process
Assist in continually growing release software and solutions
Leverage AI-assisted development tools and agentic workflows to expedite test authoring and gap analysis
