About this role

Parallel is seeking an experienced School Psychologist to deliver outstanding psychological services and comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations to students nationwide. This mission-driven role supports children with learning differences by equipping families and students with essential tools for success.

In this role, you will conduct comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations assessing academic, cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioral functioning. You will provide direct and indirect psychological services including intervention, counseling, and consultation to support students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

You will collaborate as a vital member of multidisciplinary teams throughout the evaluation and service delivery process. Your work will contribute to the development, implementation, and monitoring of IEP goals targeting social, emotional, and behavioral growth.

Requirements

  • EdS degree (or equivalent) in school psychology from a NASP-approved program
  • For North Carolina candidates: PhD in school psychology required due to state regulations for third-party vendors, in addition to standard DPI license
  • Valid state license or certificate as a school psychologist
  • At least 1 year of experience practicing full time as an on-site school psychologist (excluding practicum and internship years)
  • Demonstrated expertise across all NASP domains of practice
  • Proven experience completing comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations of students’ academic, cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioral functioning
  • Experience providing direct psychological services within an MTSS framework of service delivery
  • Tech-savvy with experience conducting tele-health services on virtual meeting platforms

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations assessing students’ academic, cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioral functioning
  • Provide direct and indirect psychological services including intervention, counseling, and consultation to support students with IEPs
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and monitoring of IEP goals targeting social, emotional, and behavioral growth
  • Collaborate as a vital member of multidisciplinary teams throughout the evaluation and service delivery process
  • Deliver tele-health services on virtual meeting platforms during traditional school hours
  • Consult effectively with educators and families to support student success
