About this role

The Cloud Operations Engineer manages day-to-day operations, performance, and reliability of cloud infrastructure. They monitor and maintain cloud environments to ensure stability, scalability, and security. This role emphasizes proactive management of cloud platforms like Azure and AWS.

Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools like Terraform. Automate deployments using CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions. Manage infrastructure configurations and workflows through self-service automation for efficient operations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver operational and project objectives. Ensure enforcement of security controls using Policy-as-Code and IaC practices. Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues promptly.

Support continuous improvement of cloud operations processes and tooling. Gain hands-on experience with Azure networking tools like VNET and NSG. Work in a hybrid environment fostering proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and operations
Proven experience in cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS)
Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or equivalent)
Experience with Azure networking tools (VNET, NSG, etc.)
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or equivalents)
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, YAML, KQL)
Knowledge of cloud services, networking, databases, identity and access management, and operating systems
Understanding of security controls using Policy-as-Code and IaC
