About this role

The Construction Manager provides oversight and assistance to new and existing franchisees in coordinating, planning, and implementing new shop construction. They support site feasibility efforts, milestone tracking, owner furnished orders, entitlement procedures, General Contractor management, and problem resolution using subject matter expertise. This role also serves as Project Manager for cross-functional team communication.

Daily tasks include utilizing the company’s project management platform like FranConnect Opener Module and GC trackers to align franchisees, architects, engineers, vendors, operations, training, and supply chain teams. Facilitate bi-weekly update calls with franchisees and departments such as real estate, design, legal, marketing, finance for status updates. Provide weekly pipeline reports to senior leadership on project plans, timelines, and risks.

Review franchisee development proformas to assess site feasibility and set realistic construction budgets. Examine financial budgets, architectural/engineering drawings, permitting procedures, GC bids, and construction timelines. Oversee company-owned new shop projects and refresh/remodel/reimaging initiatives across the portfolio.

Requirements

  • Experience in commercial construction oversight for franchise or multi-unit retail developments
  • Knowledge of site feasibility analysis and development proformas
  • Proficiency with project management platforms like FranConnect or similar tools
  • Familiarity with entitlement procedures, permitting, and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to manage General Contractors, architects, and engineers
  • Skill in reviewing architectural drawings, GC bids, and construction timelines
  • Understanding of milestone tracking and cross-functional team coordination
  • Expertise in resolving construction issues for new builds and remodels

  • Facilitate bi-weekly update calls with franchisees, real estate, design, legal, operations, training, marketing, finance, and supply chain
  • Provide weekly pipeline reports to senior leadership on construction progression, plans, timelines, and risks
  • Review franchisee development proformas to determine site feasibility and establish construction budgets
  • Review financial budgets, architectural/engineering drawings, permitting procedures, GC bids, and construction timelines
