About this role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Cloud / DevOps Engineer to lead the team to architect the AWS platform. You will develop monitoring and alerting for AWS deployed platforms and software. Improve security to support sustained and reliable availability of internal and production systems.

Lead efforts to automate, deploy and secure customer facing Cloud solutions using DevOps practices such as automation, CI/CD Pipelines and Infrastructure as Code. Work alongside Software Development teams to identify and eliminate constraints in the product life cycle. Take ownership of the AWS environment with strong technical problem-solving skills.

The ideal candidate is ambitious, collaborative with development teams and has a passion to automate away the mundane areas of development and deployment. Keep up to date with current trends in technology. Be available for participation in the on-call rotation schedule and occasional travel.

Requirements

5+ years’ experience in a similar role (SRE, Cloud infrastructure or DevOps Team Lead role)
Proven AWS Solution Architect experience
Cloud infrastructure, networking and security experience
Excellent written and verbal communication
Experience of producing technical solutions
An understanding of the software development process
Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet)
Experience of container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes or Podman)
