About this role

At BWX Technologies, lead the successful delivery of large, complex nuclear projects and services in the United States. Hold full accountability for safety, quality, cost, and schedule. Support business growth through customer engagement and effective project execution.

Direct technical, cost, schedule, and quality performance across project scopes. Monitor and manage project performance, including schedule and cost metrics. Ensure compliance with nuclear regulatory requirements, safety standards, and BWXT governance processes.

Report to the Executive Vice President, Projects & Field Services. Lead multidisciplinary project teams, including project managers, construction managers, engineers, project controls, and subcontractors. Interface regularly with internal leadership, utility customers, EPC partners, OEMs, suppliers, and regulatory stakeholders.

Operate with a high degree of autonomy in managing project execution, resource coordination, financial performance, and customer interface. Provide mentorship to developing project managers. Involves regular domestic and international travel to support project execution and global program coordination.

Requirements

  • Proven track record delivering large, complex nuclear projects safely, on schedule, and within budget
  • Deep knowledge of nuclear regulatory requirements and safety standards
  • Experience directing multidisciplinary teams including engineers, project controls, and subcontractors
  • Strong skills in project controls, schedule management, and cost metrics
  • Ability to influence, negotiate, and resolve complex technical and commercial matters with senior stakeholders
  • Expertise in nuclear project governance processes and compliance
  • Familiarity with construction management in nuclear environments
  • Comfort with domestic and international travel for project support

Responsibilities

  • Lead all phases of project execution including proposal, planning, execution, and closeout
  • Direct technical, cost, schedule, and quality performance across project scopes
  • Ensure compliance with nuclear regulatory requirements, safety standards, and BWXT governance processes
  • Monitor and manage project performance, including schedule and cost metrics
  • Manage financial and commercial performance of assigned projects
  • Interface with internal leadership across BWXT and BWXT-Kinectrics, utility customers, EPC partners, OEMs, and suppliers
  • Provide mentorship to developing project managers
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and subcontractors
