About this role

The People Operations Business Partner serves in a high-level, strategic role supporting decisions on talent, performance, succession, employee conflict, and strategic planning. Partners with the Director of People Operations and Department Leaders to design and implement solutions advancing employee capabilities across all levels. Drives change and fosters adoption centered around AEG values and People First culture.

Manages day-to-day employee relations support for corporate teams, providing coaching and guidance to leaders on people-related matters. Handles complex issues independently with sound judgment after initial onboarding. Supports compliance, engagement surveys, and key projects like June compliance initiatives and July engagement follow-up.

Supports AEG’s Home Office including Dallas Service Center and Technology Center, Alton Service Center, Call Center, and remote corporate employees across the U.S. Requires a hybrid schedule. Position involves cross-functional partnerships and up to 25% travel as needed.

Within first 30 days, builds business understanding and supports employee relations with guidance. By days 31-60, independently manages relations and projects. Days 61-90 and ongoing, contributes strategically to People First initiatives, workforce planning, and process improvements.

Requirements

  • 3+ years as an HR Business Partner, Senior HR Generalist or Organizational Development role
  • Strong communication, coaching, and facilitation skills
  • Proven employee relations experience, including managing complex issues
  • Ability to build trusted partnerships and consult effectively with executives and senior leaders
  • Experience supporting remote or distributed teams preferred
  • Demonstrated agility, sound judgment, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to design and execute projects with minimal supervision in a hybrid work environment
  • Ability to travel up to 25%, as needed
