Join the Uwill team to support student mental health, providing immediacy, student choice, and eliminating barriers. Offer teletherapy sessions by video, phone, or chat message to students at partner institutions. This is a 1099 independent contractor role with flexible scheduling.
Manage an ongoing caseload from initial session to graduation from care. Practice culturally competent care for diverse clients including first-time therapy seekers, BIPOC students, LGBTQ+ students, first-generation students, veterans, and athletes. Adhere to Uwill’s risk assessment and management process.
Work with flexibility to choose your schedule and update availability as needed. Operate from any quiet, professional US location maintaining privacy and HIPAA compliance. Enjoy minimal admin with simple note taking and no scheduling, timekeeping, or billing required.
Requirements
- Bilingual and able to provide sessions in Hmong
- An independent license to practice mental health therapy without supervision in Wisconsin (LPC, LCSW, LMFT or PsyD)
- Master’s degree in a relevant field
- 2 years of experience providing therapy in a telehealth setting using a variety of modalities
- Professional liability insurance
- HIPAA compliant professional and secure location to perform sessions
- Ability to provide sessions via Zoom on a computer or device that has a camera and microphone
Responsibilities
- Manage an ongoing caseload of clients from initial session to graduation from care
- Conduct video, telephone, or chat sessions with students
- Utilize evidence-based practices and SMART goals tailored to student needs
- Practice culturally competent care to meet the needs of a diverse client base
- Adhere to the risk assessment and management process of Uwill
- Complete session notes within time frame expectations
- Respond to student messages in a timely manner
