About this role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Tax to lead and manage all aspects of our global corporate tax function. As a key member of the Finance leadership team, you will develop and execute tax strategies, ensure compliance for domestic and international subsidiaries, and optimize the company’s global tax position while supporting growth. This role involves tax planning, cash tax forecasting, compliance, reporting, and strategy across the organization.

You will lead a high-performing tax function, handling compliance for income and non-income taxes, planning, forecasting, and tax provision. Manage preparation of federal, state, and international filings, including partnerships (IRS Form 1065) and Schedule K-1s. Oversee accounting for income taxes, quarterly and annual provisions, footnote disclosures, and internal controls.

This position reports to the Vice President of Accounting and is located in the U.S. within Eastern Time zone hours. You will manage both internal and external resources that are geographically dispersed. Effectively coordinate with global outsourced tax advisors, reviewing deliverables, timelines, budgets, and quality.

This role suits a hands-on leader with experience in SaaS, cloud computing, or digital product-based business models. Preferably, have background in partnership taxation, private equity fund structures, investment partnerships, and IPOs. Requirements

  • Experienced and strategic leader for global corporate tax function
  • Hands-on experience in SaaS, cloud computing, or digital product-based business models
  • Knowledge of tax planning, cash tax forecasting, compliance, reporting, and strategy
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and international tax regulations
  • Experience with partnership taxation and IRS Form 1065, Schedule K-1s (preferred)
  • Background in private equity fund structures, investment partnerships (preferred)
  • Experience with IPOs (preferred)
  • Ability to manage geographically dispersed internal and external tax resources

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the company’s tax function, including compliance for both income and non-income taxes, planning and forecasting, tax provision, and strategy
  • Manage the coordination, review, and completion of federal and state income tax filings and related analysis for international subsidiaries, partnerships (IRS Form 1065), Schedule K-1s, and other required filings
  • Account for income taxes in the U.S. and international subsidiaries; manage preparation of quarterly and annual tax provision; ensure appropriate internal controls over accounting for income taxes
  • Manage the preparation and review of tax provisions, disclosures, and related tax footnotes for quarterly and annual financial statements
  • Effectively manage sales & use and property tax functions
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts for cash tax payments; analyze and explain actual variances versus forecast
  • Manage activities of external outsourced tax advisors and service providers across the globe including review and sign off on deliverables, timelines, budgets, and quality of service
  • Provide subject matter expertise on global withholding tax matters
