About this role
Serves as departmental business manager for the Family Medicine Department in ASGV/Primary Care Services. Assists the ASGV/Primary Care Group director of business operations in organizational development, departmental operations, reporting, human resource needs, and performance management. This role ensures smooth business functions within a healthcare setting.
Handles daily operations including supervising departmental managers and chair office staff, coordinating staff development, annual evaluations, and HR issues. Runs Qgenda reports, monthly datamart reports, reconciles accounts, and oversees Kronos entries for monthly and biweekly employees. Ensures accuracy in additional pay requests and AESC submissions.
Works closely with the Chair, Administrator, and Director of Business Operations to oversee educational and research programs. Keeps staff informed of policy or procedure changes from AE or institutional levels. Drafts SBARs and approves departmental submissions tracked on internal spreadsheets.
Assists with special projects and requests as assigned by the department. Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure while performing related duties as required. Supports ongoing departmental growth in an academic health care environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 5 years of business-related experience
- Bachelor's degree in business management, finance, or health care management preferred
- Experience in academic health care setting, budgeting, business planning preferred
- Advanced MS Excel, MS Access, Essbase, Smart View, Power/MyPower experience preferred
- Ability to draft SBARs and run Qgenda reports
- Proficiency in reconciling accounts and tracking submissions on spreadsheets
Responsibilities

- Work with Chair, Administrator, and Director to oversee educational and research programs
