Senior Members of Technical Staff own problems end-to-end from system design through production. They drive technical direction, shape architecture, and set the bar for engineering quality.

A day's work includes scaling and hardening AWS infrastructure for enterprise demand, analyzing request logs and debugging event streams for reliability. Design and build backend services, APIs, data pipelines powering the AI platform. Work directly with customers on healthcare workflows, integrations, and product specs while building internal tooling.

Engineers share a strong sense of product and collaborate in multidisciplinary teams for secure, scalable, user-focused solutions. They follow best practices and modular design to tackle healthcare challenges. Diverse experiences and skill sets continually expand the team with creativity and precision.

You have depth in backend or infrastructure, owning system designs shipped to production at scale. Passion for fundamentals like PACELC and consistency guarantees, caring about code not written. Share firefighting stories and GitHub to build lasting code with more ownership.

Requirements

Depth in backend and/or infrastructure including APIs, integrations, data pipelines, distributed systems
Experience scaling and hardening cloud infrastructure especially with serious AWS footprint
Owned system design decisions, shipped to production, and operated at scale
Served as go-to engineer for troubleshooting and design reviews
Led projects, mentored junior engineers, and made lasting architectural decisions
Passion for doing things The Right Way, Less is More, and system foundations like PACELC and consistency guarantees
Battle scars from over-engineered systems and commitment to writing code that lasts
Tired of hype treadmill, focused on fundamentals

Responsibilities

Scale and harden AWS infrastructure to meet growing enterprise demand
Analyze request logs, debug event streams, and improve system reliability
Design and build backend services, APIs, and data pipelines powering the AI platform
Work directly with customers to understand healthcare workflows, scope integrations, and translate requirements into product specs
Build internal tooling to automate workflows and increase team leverage
Write evals to identify weaknesses and drive improvements in LLM-powered systems
Own problems end-to-end from system design through to production
Drive technical direction, shape architecture, and set engineering quality bar
