CARE International in Myanmar focuses on food and nutrition security, health, and advancing rights and leadership of women and girls. The Finance & Grants Manager plays a critical role in strengthening financial stewardship remotely for Myanmar operations.

This strategic hands-on role handles financial management, grants oversight, and partnership finance. Ensure strong financial controls, high-quality reporting, and full compliance with donor and organizational requirements. Act as a key partner to program teams, senior leadership, and external stakeholders.

Support effective fund management and efficient resource use to deliver impact where needed most. Strengthen partner capacity through training and monitoring fund flows. Coordinate across teams in a leading humanitarian organization focused on crisis response and long-term development.

Drive continuous improvement in grant financial management systems. Promote a culture of integrity, transparency, and policy adherence. Enable high-impact programming through robust systems and financial insights.

Requirements

Experience in financial management for international humanitarian and development organizations
Knowledge of donor policies, contracts, and compliance requirements in complex contexts
Expertise in grants lifecycle management including reporting and budget revisions
Skills in audit preparation and addressing findings
Proficiency in partnership financial monitoring and capacity building
Ability to provide financial insights and analysis for program decision-making
Understanding of financial risks, cash projections, and fund flows in partnerships

Responsibilities

Ensure robust financial systems and internal controls that minimize risk and ensure accountability
Support compliance with CARE and donor policies, contracts, and procedures
Lead audit preparation processes and proactively address audit findings
Oversee the full grants lifecycle from agreement review to financial reporting
Ensure timely, accurate donor reporting and compliance with all grant requirements
Coordinate budget revisions, fund requests, and financial documentation
Lead partner due diligence, funding agreements, and financial monitoring processes
Build partner capacity through targeted training and support
